What to Expect Before, During, and After your Massage:
Before
- Eat a light meal or no meal at all
- Wear loose, fitted clothing
- Remove jewelry
A health history form will have been emailed to you. Please make sure it is completely filled out. Please make sure you have told the therapist if you have any allergies to any scents, oils, lotions and if you have any serious illness or skin disorders.
During
The therapist will ask you how you would like your pressure during the massage and list which kind of modalities they perform. You will disrobe to your level of comfort, and lie down on the massage table, according to your therapist’s instructions, face down, face up, or sideline.
Music is provided adjusted to your comfort level. Towels and sheets are there to keep you warm.
Bolsters and pillows are also available.
The therapist will ask you if you need extra heat. We want you to be at ease, relaxed, and supported.
You may ask, “What do I do during the session?”
Your job is to BREATHE. This eases the tensions of the muscles. The therapist will breathe with you to promote relaxation.
The massage therapist will provide the best quality of massage therapy in a professional atmosphere.
Everything mentioned in the session is private & confidential.
After
The massage therapist will provide you with water. Make sure to keep your body hydrated throughout the rest of the day and be mindful of your environment. Most importantly rest and relax your body to let the session integrate for full benefits.
